Appliqué - Issue 11

Carole Dunn

Too many “faces”; not any “modern” images.

Comprehensive Look at Applque

Appliqué Issue #11 is a comprehensive view of different types of appliqué with excellent samples of quilts from artists throughout the country. It is a “must read” for appliqué quilters!

I discovered your publication by chance and am so glad I pursued subscribing and obtaining back issues. Applique is my passion, whether it is traditional, wool or fusible. The Applique issue didn't disappoint and, in fact, has opened a new applique method/world to me with the article Improvised Applique. I can't wait to get started!
Perhaps another Applique issue could include using different fabrics (silk, linen and wool come immediately to mind) as well as cultural artistry - the tent makers of Cairo, for example.
