Two of our favorite lines this season are Sweet Christmas by Urban Chiks for Moda and Tinsel by Clairice Gifford for Cloud 9 Fabrics. Both lines have a retro vibe with a modern esthetic.

Quilting has long been a creative vehicle for women to gather together for friendship and community. In the 19th and 20th centuries, this manifested as a physical gathering. Today, though quilters still gather in person, the Internet has enabled quilters to meet and collaborate virtually.

For the Black & White issue, we are looking for quilts that read black and white, and display a sense of motion. This can be achieved with the piecing or quilting. Solids and prints are welcome in the challenge. The deadline for submissions is August 31, 2019
