We’re Headed to QuiltCon 2020

We are so excited to be headed to QuiltCon 2020 in less than one week! Presented by the Modern Quilt Guild and held in Austin, Texas from February 20 to 23, QuiltCon is the largest modern quilt show held in the United States, drawing thousands of quilters from across the world. The conference includes four days of workshops and lectures by leading designers in the modern quilt industry.

Christine & Amy

Each year, over 400 quilts are displayed on the show floor, as well as dozens of vendors, including yours truly, Curated Quilts. Special exhibits at QuiltCon 2020 will include the quilts of Victoria Findlay Wolfe (who is also the convention’s keynote speaker), the Esprit Collection of Lancaster County Amish Quilts, the Modern Quilt Guild’s Quilt of Month selections, and the QuiltCon Charity Quilts.

Curated Quilts is very excited to sponsor the Small Quilts category for a second time at QuiltCon 2020. Our readers and contributors have given so much to Curated Quilts and we want to give back to the quilting community in this meaningful way. We believe that sponsoring fosters the growth and development of quilters in the modern quilt movement. We hope you will be inspired by the quilts in the category that you find hanging at QuiltCon.

Also, don’t miss Teresa Duryea Wong, quilt-history buff and a regular contributor to Curated Quilts. She is presenting three lectures this year at QuiltCon: Japan 2.0: Next-Gen Quilters, Big Love: Texas and Quilts, and Minimalism Done Well. You can read more about these lectures and sign up to attend them at the QuiltCon website.
