We’re back with season two of Curated Questions, a series of virtual panel discussions designed to give you a closer look at the inner workings of the quilting world. Join us as we take a deep dive into quilt shows!
Starting March 14, each week we’ll host a lively discussion with several experts who will share information and answer your questions about how to find shows and submit your work for exhibition, what it’s like to judge and jury a show, how to organize your own local show, and more.
Check out our great list of panelists:
Quilt Shows Overview: Clara Nartey, Carolina Oneto, Stephanie Zacharer Ruyle
Best Practices for Submitting Your Work: Cassandra Beaver, Leslie Tucker Jenison, Bill Reker
How to Organize Your Own Local Show: Melissa Everett, Jennifer Fons, Dianne Semark
Quilt Show Judging: Cindy Erickson, Teresa Duryea Wong
Quilt Show Jurying: Amanda Bernay, Sheila Frampton-Cooper, Ann Johnston
These folks have extensive experience and come from a variety of backgrounds. Many of them have exhibited work in museums, galleries, and shows around the world.
The live discussions will be conducted via Zoom at 5 p.m. Mountain Time on the following dates:
March 14 - Quilt Shows Overview
March 21 - Best Practices for Submitting Your Work
March 28 - How to Organize Your Own Local Show
April 4 - Quilt Show Judging
April 11 - Quilt Show Jurying
Come with your questions for our experts—we expect each discussion to last one hour, with 30 minutes of Q&A immediately after.
Because we have a global audience (and because we know that sometimes even the best-laid plans are disrupted at the last minute), ticketed participants will also have access to recordings of the discussions for one year.
After your purchase is complete, click Access Content on the confirmation page. You will have PDF files to download with links to the recording. This information is also sent via email, if you don't see it with your order confirmation email, check your spam folder and/or reach out to us for more assistance at firstname.lastname@example.org.
*This ticket bundle provides admission to all five discussions. **Early Bird pricing through 2/13, 12 midnight MST.
