Curated Quilts is now accepting entries for our next Mini Quilt Challenge. All quilts submitted should be square, 10" x 10" up to 16" x 16" to be featured in our Mini Quilt Gallery. The Mini Quilt Gallery is a regular feature in each quarterly issue that features YOU! In every issue, 25 quilts are selected to be photographed and included in the journal.
Please use the plus shape as inspiration for your quilt design. You can improvise or paper piece your design. We love seeing how creative everyone is and appreciate all forms of piecing in your mini quilts.
The color palette we would like you to use is depicted in the image above, mint green, soft pink, peach, grey-blue, and aqua. You are welcome to use all or a few of the colors in your mini quilt. Prints or solids from your stash are always welcome too. We have a starter set of fat quarters available for purchase in the color palette here. --At least we did - these have sold out quickly!
You are invited to make one mini quilt, or as many as you would like for this challenge - it's up to you! Each mini quilt will be submitted separately. When submitting use a flat shot of your quilt in natural light, that best depicts the color in your quilt. In most cases, color is the overarching theme that creates cohesion in the printed group of quilts.
The deadline for submissions is September 8, 2020, you will be notified shortly thereafter via email, with decisions. In the case that your quilt is selected, it will need to be received by October 1st for photography. We look forward to working with you!
